Plano Animal Hospital - Experienced Veterinary Technician / LVT (Advanced Technical Skills Required)

What We're Looking For
We are hiring two highly skilled veterinary professionals who can confidently contribute to a busy medical team from day one. Both positions require strong technical proficiency, independent judgment within the scope of the role, and significant hands-on clinical experience.
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
- Current Texas LVT license required.
- Strong clinical and technical skills, particularly in anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, dentistry, and patient nursing care.
- Ability to work confidently and efficiently with minimal supervision while following veterinary direction and hospital protocols.
- Pay: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on experience.
Experienced Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience required.
- LVT license not required, but advanced technical skills are essential.
- Strong proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, dental procedures, diagnostic testing, and patient care.
- Ability to confidently perform technical responsibilities within the role's permitted scope, with minimal supervision and under veterinary direction.
- Pay: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skills.
Expectations for Both Positions
- Proven experience monitoring anesthesia and recognizing changes in patient status.
- Strong surgical preparation, patient monitoring, and recovery skills.
- Hands-on experience with dental procedures and dental radiography.
- Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory testing, and diagnostic imaging.
- Excellent patient handling, nursing care, and attention to detail.
- Confidence in a fast-paced clinical environment, with the ability to prioritize and anticipate the needs of the medical team.
- Strong communication, professionalism, accountability, and a team-first attitude.
