About the role
Description
The Shipping & Receiving position is responsible for coordinating daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials and products.
Responsibilities not limited to:
Shipping & Receiving Coordination
Support with daily shipping and receiving activities.
Communicate with the Production and Warehouse Supervisors regarding shipping schedules, deadlines, deliveries, and related issues.
Shipping - Support with:
Order documentation, including part numbers and quantities.
Prepare, package, label, and expedite shipments.
Complete required shipping and freight documentation.
Maintaining adequate inventory of shipping materials.
Maintaining accurate daily and weekly shipping schedules.
Receiving
Support with unloading, inspection, and routing of incoming shipments.
Inspect deliveries for damage and shortages and document discrepancies.
Reject damaged items and coordinate resolution with suppliers and carriers.
Process defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic computer skills
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and coordinate shipments in a fast-paced environment.
English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 - 30 lbs. unassisted.
Work is performed in a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
Ability to work additional hours as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
1–2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
