Job Description:
At Wegmans, our store security teams are committed to keeping our customers and employees safe. Our security specialists play a critical role helping to communicate between the Asset Protection team and the store leadership group. We’re seeking an independent individual who is task-oriented and can build strong relationships throughout the store while keeping customer service top of mind!

What You'll Do
Partner with management to implement asset protection strategies that drive sales and reduce shrink; analyze trends, benchmarks, and data
Execute safety programs to ensure a safe, positive environment for customers and employees
Build strong relationships with community organizations and emergency responders to enhance safety awareness
Monitor customers, vendors, and employees to prevent loss; investigate and process shoplifting incidents
Respond to emergencies and provide ongoing support and guidance to employees and customers
Requirements
2 or more years of related work experience
Proven ability to effectively resolve problems and manage conflict
Ability to use good judgment and make difficult decisions that affect the safety and well-being of others
Ability to maintain effective communication and composure in a stressful environment
Technical aptitude, including advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related degree
Military, security, loss prevention, corrections or asset protection experience
Experience as a first responder and/or Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Leadership experience
