Staff Accountant
Location: Irving, Texas | Department: Accounting
Job Type: Full-time | Exempt
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Staff Accountant
to join our Accounting team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations through account reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close support. If you're passionate about numbers and thrive in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and record journal entries including revenues, depreciation, and adjusting entries
Perform monthly closing activities and reconcile all balance sheet accounts
Maintain fixed asset schedules and necessary subsidiary ledgers
Review general ledger activity for accuracy
Record deposits and code/enter invoices
Assist with budgeting, including designing reports and supporting the CFO
Conduct operational studies and recommend process improvements
Support additional accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional office setting
Preferred Skills
Experience operating office equipment (copier, fax, 10-key calculator)
Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting
High level of organization and problem-solving capabilities
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with minimal travel (up to 10%)
Standard business hours with occasional flexibility for special projects
Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
