As a qualified Physical Health Nurse with experience, you will lead and coordinate all aspects of the physical health needs of service users, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork with the multidisciplinary team, such as GPs and SALTs. Where you will be working: Location: Emerald Place Clinic, Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Horley, RH6 0BN Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 12 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs
The position offered is for a Physical Health Nurse on a fixed-term contract at Elysium Healthcare, located in Charlwood. This is a temporary role, with an annual salary of £37,500. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional weekend shifts as required. This role covers a 12-month maternity leave. The position is focused on providing nursing care at the Emerald Place Clinic, an inpatient unit for young adolescents aged 12 to 18, who may be dealing with mental health conditions, neurodevelopmental disorders, or eating disorders. Responsibilities include coordinating and leading the physical health care needs of service users, collaborating with various health professionals, and educating staff about specific treatments such as naso-gastric tube feeding. Candidates must have completed a Preceptorship, hold a valid NMC registration, and have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of post-registration experience. They should also possess experience in NG feeding, phlebotomy, and training others, along with an understanding of eating disorders and mental health.
