About the role

Salary: £39959.00 to £48117.00

The ME/CFS Service is a therapy-based service dedicated to working with people who have a diagnosis of ME/CFS, or persistent fatigue based at the Newsam Centre, Seacroft Hospital. We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist who will join the team on a permanent basis.

This role requires the candidate to undertake comprehensive assessments of both physical and mental health issues and offer evidenced based interventions for this client group, including using activity and fatigue management approaches. This will be on a 1:1 basis in an outpatient clinic therefore the candidate needs to have experience or an interest in providing psychological interventions to an autonomous caseload of patients.

We recruit people based on their values and qualifications (where required) and believe that their lived experience is an advantage, this means that together we are as diverse as the communities we care for. Simply put, when we employ caring people who act with integrity and have the right skills, we can give those with mental health challenges, learning disabilities and neurodiversity high-quality care and support to live fulfilling lives, and make our staff feel purposeful, happy and valued.
