About the role
Salary: $141,367.00 to $197,200.00 Per Year
You will serve as a Deputy Department Head in the Undersea Systems & Sustainment Engineering Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. This position is equivalent to the GS-14/15 level.
Major duties
You will be responsible to assess, verify effectiveness, and develop corrective action plans for all Department programs, projects and processes and their adherence/compliance to policies and regulations.
You will directly support the Department Head (DH) in managing the business and administrative activities necessary to conduct technical work.
You will assist the DH in developing strategies, technical roadmaps, workforce shaping policies, and investment portfolios in support of the department's technical mission.
You will assist the DH in managing a highly technical workforce engaged in the development, testing and evaluation, acquisition, sustainment, and other scientific and engineering efforts.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or ND-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist leading an organization conducting technical work for the readiness and sustainment of undersea warfare systems and platforms for an organization.
