The Clinical Lead plays a pivotal leadership role within the Integrated Care Board (ICB), deputising for the Executive Team Leader and supporting the wider management team in delivering the ICB's strategic objectives. This is a senior position with a broad and dynamic portfolio, requiring significant expertise, operational oversight, strategic leadership, and system-wide collaboration.
The postholder is responsible for the staff and budget for their portfolio of services and projects.The purpose includes:1.To act as a trusted Clinical lead for the Executive Team Leader, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.2.To lead a diverse portfolio of highly complex programmes and services, driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and outcomes.3.To provide visible leadership across the organisation and the wider system, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
