Salary: £39959.00 to £48117.00
We have an exciting position for a permanent part time speech and language therapist based within the Specialist Community Neurology Team.
To delivery specialist speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults with communication and swallowing problems most commonly as a result of a diagnosed neurological condition, frailty or dementia.
To be able to line manage other members of the team as needed including peers, junior staff and students.
To be able to assess and treat a variety of communication and swallowing presentations in the community.
To have core skills in dysphagia management.
To be able to pull in different skills and knowledge into your practice to provide care to meet the person's individual needs.
To support relevant service improvement projects as needed.
To support the learning and development of the team via supervisions and being a part of the In Service Training rota.
To keep up to date with your own professional CPD.
To be a part of the triage rota, advice and guidance and care home support.
To support other system wide meetings as appropriate.
