Job Summary
Ithaca College is looking for motivated and responsible students to oversee sport club activities. Ithaca College has over 20 sport clubs and hosts multiple activities a week throughout the school year. You would play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth operation of sport club activities, ensuring safety of participants, and an enjoyable experience for spectators and teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise sport club practices and games, ensuring adherence to club guidelines, safety protocols, and university policies.
- Manage and oversee the facilities and ensure that teams and spectators are using the venue properly.
- Communicate to those at the venue the protocols and rules of the facility and use effective communication to ensure positive experience.
- Serve as a point of contact for club members, coaches, and university staff regarding practice and game coordination.
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and general operations related to club sport events as needed.
Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)
- Supervisor or leadership experience is preferred but not needed.
- Ability to work in a group and independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sports and guidelines preferred.
- Ability to work nights and evenings and availability on weekends.
