The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has a fantastic opportunity for aspiring, customer focused, Electrical Craftsperson to be based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Working within a small multi-disciplinary team, the chosen applicant will help maintain the electrical infrastructure at one of the Top 10 Hospital Trusts in the U.K.
Candidates must be professional in all aspects with a desire to develop and improve. If successful they will be expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team performing a wide range of duties covering all aspects of Electrical maintenance and installation.
Candidates must have a positive customer focused attitude with a desire to improve and undertake condition surveys, evaluates inspection reports.
Candidates must have completed a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship, be self-motivated with a desire to develop new skills and flexible to meet the demands of a large acute hospital.
To install, maintain, service and repair the full range of estates specialist equipment, plant and infrastructure.
Provides technical advice to other estates maintenance staff and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Act in the role of Competent Person, as defined by Health Technical Memorandum, for the Electrical Distribution (LV) system.
Undertakes condition surveys, evaluates inspection reports.
