This is a 6 months fixed-term post open to anaesthetists with at least four years' experience in anaesthesia.
Delivery of a first class anaesthetic service for elective and emergency cases in all surgical specialties.
The on call rota operates over an eight week cycle, in conjunction with (but contractually separate to) the three specialty trainees from the Birmingham School of Anaesthesia. The Job Plan describes a fixed amount of work within each cycle, and this work is therefore still provided irrespective of A/L and Bank Holidays taken i.e. prospective cover built into the job plan is 10.0 Programmed Activities.
