The role of Head Chef at Spencer House Care Home involves managing and leading a culinary team to provide a high-quality culinary service that contributes to the well-being of residents. Key responsibilities include preparing appealing modified diets as per IDDSI guidelines, placing food orders with approved suppliers while maintaining stock levels and budgets, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the safety of residents, visitors, and staff. The role requires candidates to embody values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability, along with having two years experience managing a culinary team in care or hospitality, relevant catering qualifications, a passion for high culinary standards, and budgetary control skills.
