Job Description Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm and the largest minority- and women-owned law firm in the United States, is seeking a Legal Assistant to support our New York / New Jersey offices . This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. About the Role The Legal Assistant will support attorneys handling civil litigation defense matters , with a focus on cases in the New York Supreme Court . This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Draft and prepare correspondence and legal documents, including basic pleadings and filings, under the attorney's direction Handle NYSCEF e-filing and ensure compliance with New York court procedures Maintain and manage attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, and depositions Organize and maintain case files (physical and electronic), ensuring accuracy and accessibility Monitor case progress and escalate issues requiring attorney involvement Schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and case materials Provide general administrative and litigation support as needed Qualifications 3+ years of legal assistant experience supporting attorneys in civil litigation , preferably in New York Experience with New York Supreme Court litigation strongly preferred Familiarity with NYSCEF filing procedures required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment High School Diploma or equivalent required What We Offer QPWB offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability 401(k) with employer match Paid vacation, holidays, and personal time off Opportunities for professional growth within a national law firm To Apply For immediate consideration, qualified candidates should submit their resumes.
