Do you love spending your day with dogs and cats, and take pride in keeping them clean, comfortable, and cared for while they’re away from home?

At Countryside Veterinary Hospital, every pet who comes through our doors deserves to feel safe and looked after, whether they’re here for a hospital stay or a few nights of boarding. Our Pet Care Attendant plays a big part in making that happen.

As a Pet Care Attendant, you’ll care for pets in both our kennel and our hospital, making sure they’re walked, fed, and settled into clean, comfortable spaces. If you’re dependable, enjoy working independently, and bring a caring, compassionate attitude to everything you do, we’d love to meet you.

Why Our Pet Care Attendants Love It Here

  • Gain experience across both the kennel and hospital sides of a veterinary practice
  • Enjoy the independence of owning your work while knowing your team has your back
  • Join a team where a caring and compassionate attitude is shared by everyone, not just expected of new hires
  • Know that your work directly affects the comfort and well-being of every pet in our care

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Care Attendant, your responsibilities may include:

  • Walk dogs, including both hospitalized patients and boarding guests
  • Clean and sanitize dog runs and cages and cat cages in the kennel and hospital areas
  • Feed boarding pets according to their individual feeding instructions
  • Keep the kennel area clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Interact with clients in a friendly, professional way during drop-off, pick-up, and other daily contact

What Our Pet Care Attendants Bring

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Experience in a customer service environment (required)
