This position will ideally be working both Saturday and Sunday; however, we are open to the possibility of a job share. We also offer a free shuttle bus service from Thatcham train station. As a crucial part of the kitchen team, youll play a vital role in crafting daily meals for service users, staff and visitors. Dive into food preparation and elevate your role by providing guidance and training to your peers. There are regular activities, events and special occasions throughout the year which youll also cater for World Food day, Christmas, Easter, Family Day and many more. In other words, plenty of chance to be creative and do something different. The Weekend Chef at Thornford Park Hospital will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and maintain food storage and stock rotation procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking meals while considering dietary requirements, serving meals professionally, and participating in food costings. The role requires adherence to 'Safer Food Better Business' standards and food hygiene regulations. You'll have a chance to create new menus and cater for special events. The position seeks a professional who is 18 or older, with basic food hygiene certification and relevant experience, capable of managing catering operations during shifts.
